My ‘To Be Read’ List

Today I wanted to share the books on TBR list! I really want to read more this year because I was very lazy with that in 2016. All the following books are powerful  and beautifully written works of literature. So why not try them yourself?

All We Shall Know by Donal Ryan: I don’t really know much about this book apart for the fact that the writing in amazing and the plot lives up to it!

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur: This is one of the books that I constantly hear people talking about or recommending. I am really getting into poetry at the moment and I think that this is a must read in that field. Apparently the poems are also quite short so if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands this is a great option for you too!images.png

Get it here!

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath : I am quickly becoming a fan of Sylvia’s writing even though I have only recently discovered her works in confessional poetry. I really cant wait to dive into this semi-autobiographical novel and learn more about her.

Get it here!

I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai: Malala is such an inspiration to me and I really need to read this book. I find her words and story inspiring already, so I think after reading this book I will have a whole new found respect for her.

Get it here!

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini: I have already read one of his other novels (The kite runner, I actually put it in my recommendations a while back to read that click here!) I am very exited to read more of his stories as the first one I read left me very impressed!

Get it here!

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen: I know! I know! “How have you not read this?????” I have really never gotten around to reading it even though its a huge classic! I can already tell that I will love it!

Get it here!

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brönte: This is another classic I really, really want to read! I think it will be such a powerful story that will make me fall in love with this book. I will probably be reading this very soon as its been sitting on my shelf for a while.

There you have it! I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my ‘to be read’ list! Please let me know if you have read any of these books? Did you like them, should I not even bother reading them? Any others I should add to my list? Thanks for reading xx

(I also just joined Twitter! Make sure to check it out here  ! I can’t wait to follow you all back and chat! )

Jane eyre was one of my favourite stories growing up (in fact, it was that book that taught me English). I would also vouch for Khaled Hosseini, he opened up the world to me with Kite Runner and your recommendation is pretty fab too. 😁
